How to Add Webcam (Windows)

The DVR.Webcam app will automatically detect your device's built-in cameras. When you run the app for the first time, it will automatically set up one of your built-in cameras. You can edit the camera settings, or add a new camera from the applications bar (to show, swipe up from the edge, or right-click on the app).

The app can also detect external USB webcam once you attach it to the device.

Audio can be added to webcams. Be sure to select the correct audio device associated with your camera.

If you are using a tablet with two internal cameras (front and back), only one camera can be accessed at one time (i.e., they cannot be used at the same time). This is due to a limitation of Windows OS. You can, however, use multiple USB webcams.

How to Add IP Cameras (Windows)

You can add IP cameras from your home network. The app currently supports MJPEG, JPEG cameras, and some H.264 cameras using RTSP (such as Axis cameras).

To add an IP camera, you will need to enter the camera's access URL for its image stream. The app has a built-in search tool to help you find the URL. Simply enter your camera make/model into the search box, and locate your camera. Then, enter the required fields such as the camera's IP address, login ID, and password, etc.

If your IP camera is not supported, please contact us.
